This is a monthly poetry OPEN MIC event hosted by Alex M. Frankel. There are two or three featured poets in addition to the open mic participants. We are located at the historic Valentina Oumansky Dramatic Dance Foundation, 3433 Cahuenga Blvd West in Los Angeles, near Universal Studios. After the reading poets sign copies of their books. A 2-hour long class once a week on Wednesdays In the first hour, the moderator brings in a topic related to poetry or prose (e.g., Metaphors Galore, Writing from the Deep Voice, Dialetic poems, Structuring your work, Subtext, etc), explains it and shows examples of it.
